7 Samurai for our 6th anniversary

To help celebrate CineVerse's sixth anniversary, we'll be watching and discussing one of the finest films ever made. Make a date to attend CineVerse on June 22 for a World Cinema Wednesday special: Seven Samurai (part 1) (1954; 207 minutes), directed by Akira Kurosawa, chosen by Bob Hoggatt. Part 2 will screen next week, immediately after which we will conduct our group discussion on the movie.

Prior to the movie, we will screen a documentary on the art and impact of Kurosawa.

Note that we will be exploring a different Kurosawa masterpiece once a month over the next few months, so stay tuned for forthcoming details on the next two Kurosawa classics we'll dissect, slated for August and September.
