Criterion is launching its own streaming channel

But soon there will be a way to watch Criterion films for one low monthly price, via its forthcoming Criterion Channel, a new streaming service launching April 8.

Here are details via the notice I just received:

Thematically programmed with special features, the Criterion Channel will offer constantly refreshed selections of Hollywood, international, art-house, and independent movies, plus access to Criterion’s entire streaming library of more than 1,000 important classic and contemporary films from around the world.
